Scheduler from w98 to w95

By yarik ·
Is there any way to install the scheduler from the Windows 98 CD to the Windows 95 system? Is there a common technick, how to get components from one distribution into another running system?

It may be done ,but I would not try in on a machine that is being used, meaning that when you insert the Win98 cd,you have to make sure auto install does not proceed, then there is the problem of .dll changes that will be made to the system files, being that WIN98 is an upgrade to Win95,their will be driver conflicts. It would be a lab project to copy the application from the cd and then install in a different OS.nO wAY.

I'm not sure if you have a specific reason for wanting to use the scheduler from 98, but I think all you need to do is install a copy of IE on the system. I seem to remember on the old 95 stations here that this was something that was loaded with the install of that

As foi loading 98 conponents...I'm not sure if that's a good idea. You can probobly fool the system to load from the 98 cabs...but then you're going to spend most of your time keeping versions straight.
