Screen Problems

By rljkb ·
I have a Dell Inspiron 8000 and when I re installed Win 2000 Pro my screen size is about 3 X 5 instead of the whole screen. I tried downloading a driver for video but that didn't do anything can anyone help about this problem.
Thanks

You might like to run at a lower resolution (for some reason)

If for some odd reason you want to run at a lower resolution, you should be able to have the laptop stretch the 3x5 to the full screensize. Usually this is a FN- shift key. Or it might be in the BIOS settings.

Anyway, it is usually better the native resolution of the display for maximum sharpness. If you find text and icons too small, you can adjust that in the Windows settings.
