Monitor Driver/

by oldbaritone In reply to screen too big for monito ...

Check and see if you have a specific driver for your monitor, not just the generic monitor driver.

Try reducing the resolution, or check the monitor's own menu and try to reduce the size so the image will fit.

at highest.
"

What is the resolution ACTUALLY set to ~ XXXX X XXXX.

WHAT IS IT?

The Dimension 3000 came with a 17" CRT monitor.

If you're still using the CRT monitor, all well and good. It should have its own On-Screen Menu where, amongst other things, you can 'pinch' each of the 4 edges of the monitor screen, to squeeze the visible image back into visible view.
