Searching for data in Excel 2000

By Blackcurrant ·
Hi

I have a workbook that has several worksheets in it. I would like to be able to search for data across all the worksheets in a single go, rather than cycling through the sheets and searching each sheet individually.

Does anyone know how I can do this??

I believe that some of the data mining sofware would fulfill this function. I am thinking that SuperQuery, which I've never supported but have had clients use, might provide this functionality.

Go to Edit, Find. Click on the options button - there is a drop down menu which allows you to search within the workbook.

-Right-click on the name of any sheet in your workboot (eg: right-clik 'Sheet1');
-Choose "Select All Sheets";
-Hit "CTRL+F" or 'Edit>Find' to start search;
-Enter your data to search.

When you press 'find next' it will search all sheets of your workbook sequentially.

Hope this helps.
Cheers.
