secure DB in IIS 5

By rpesano ·
We will be running awin-2000 with IIS 5 on next launch. I am looking for ways to get a secure connection from the web server to go inside our firewall and connect to a database. Right now we have a duplicate(sacxrificial lamb) DB on the web server. We would like to eliminate the added maintenance costs of keeping both DB's updated

Any help or suggestions are appreciated.

Ron

Try a software VPN approach. If that's no good, then since your using IIS how about a security certifiacte from Verisign or similar?

The first answer looks good to me. If that doesn't work, try something else. Hope this helps.
