Seeing an XP workgroup pc from a Vista Home basic laptop.

By srharter ·
I have an XP Home SP2 machine with a USB printer that I can't see from my Vista Home Basic laptop with the same workgroup settings. I have a Vista Business laptop that sees the XP pc fine and can use its printer, even though it belongs to my business domain. I can see the entire network from the Vista Business pc, but can only see the Vista Business machine from the Vista Home machine.

The biggest single difference between Vista Home & Business is the ability to network.

So maybe if you try installing more Networking Drivers/Options on the home unit it may improve the situation somewhat.
