I have a DHCP problem. I am in an university setting where anyone with a laptop can plug into the network using DHCP. People are not able to get into the AD domain (W2K & W2K3 DCs); however, they can get internet access. I have read all around this issue, but I have not found a concrete way of differentiating legitimate users from illegitimate users outside using static Ip addressing or mapping to MAC addresses. The main objective is to eliminate rogue internet usage and determine what other security risks are present. Can someone help this newbie out?
