'Send to' function does not work

When in Word or Excel etc and I want to send a document using the File, send to, mail recipient function, nothing happens. I do not get any errors there is just no response. I have tried reinstalling office but this has had no effect.I am using Office 2000 with office service pack 3.

Check options in the Tools menu. Look at the General tab (select "mail as attachment" if you want that option) toward the bottom of the general page you will see a web options button, make sure you have internet explorer selected under the general tab. Also, in the Internet Explorer tools menu, under internet options, select the "Programs" tab and you MUST have your internet e-mail selected so that when you click on "mail to", Word or Excel will know which email application to open. That should do it. Good Luck!
