Sending Text from controls to CrystalReport 9

Hi, I am new to crystal reports. I want to pass some text to crystal report, if i passed 1 line it’ll work properly, if i have entered more then one line(While using Enter key) it shows an error like ‘Can’t convert values to string’.plz give me a solution.
