I have a huge problem. The company I work employees about 75 people. Being small we only have one IT person (me) and one IS person. The problem is that the heads of other departments have started coming to me to run finacial reports for their department. My immediate supervisor believes that it isn’t my job to run reports for other departments. I was hired in to bring the company up to date, if you will, with hardware and software. The IS person is responsible for the data base that runs the business. In short I do buying, setting up hardware, installing software and network management. The whole case comes do to my boss against the department heads, with the owners being the jury. How do we convince ownership that this practice of pullingme away from my job to do someone else job needs to stop?
