I am a tech in a small school district. I am running a HP Netserver E60 with server 2000 and 512 mb RAM on it. I have updated everything and still am having a problem. It freezes almost every evening either before the backup starts or during the backup. once it freezes you have to do a hard shut down. it may takes 2 or more reboots to bring it up cleanly. I have updated the tape drivers (it is running veritas for backup software). Does anyone have a suggestion on what to look at next. there is nothing in the event viewer to give any clues. Often it just says the previous shut down at what ever time was unexpected.
