Server Error in '/' Application

By Adisha ·
I am getting the above error message in a fram that is trying to load up a *.aspx page on the Internet Explorer.

It happened after I set up Dreamweaver on my PC. Has this happened to anyone else and if so could you please tell me how you rectified the error. The page is stored in the INETP/WWWROOT directory of another PC running IIS and Admin permissions has been set on this folder.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

so, you are saying this error does not occur when page is viewed with netscape?

there is known permissions issue with some editors including dreamweaver. but does not match your error description. you are not reporting problems editing, just browsing, yes?

humm What exactly are you trying to do? display a .aspx web page using IE from a web server and whos web server? alter a web page using dreamweaver on a web server [again is it your web server?]

and if its your web server and your trying to change web site content via a LAN computer connecting to the web server to upload new content, what are the Inetpub folder permissions? Remember parent child folder permissions flow down so that root folder Inetpub which prohibits changes will propogate down the line to the child folder <yourweb site> under Inetpub/wwwroot/virtual server/<yourwebsite>/

that is if the Web server is a w2K based server with NTFS

I suspect this problem will be resolved if I install on a separate server and not a workstation. I haven't had a chance to test this out so I am not in a position to be able to comment any further on this issue.
