I have a win2k adv. server running a large oracle database (approx. 80gb) the data files are spread across multiple drives, including an attachment to a san. The only other thing running on this is network associates netshield ver. 4.5 with the latest hotfix rollup. The server is currently unresponsive to openging explorer or going to start/programs, etc. it just freezes at this point. When operatinng in a command prompt, I can navigate freely to every drive but it does hang when trying to go to a: and d: drives. Could this be some sort of IO contention caused by the oracle database? Certain things come up immediately like opening the services panel, but if i try to right click my computer and go to manage, it does not respond. Any info isappreciated, thanks.
