If you are planning to move files via FTP from a Unix machine to Win2K or vise versa, you do not need SFU. SFU provides:
Features
Leverage Existing UNIX Network Resources. Windows Services for UNIX 2.0 provides the ability to share network resources among Windows NT, Windows 2000, and a UNIX-based system. This is accomplished by providing an NFS client, server, and gateway.
Leverage Existing UNIX Expertise. Windows Services for UNIX 2.0 provides more than 60 of the most popular UNIX utilities and a Korn Shell to give UNIX users and administrators their familiar set of tools and shell environment.
Simplify Network Administration. Windows Services for UNIX 2.0 simplifies both local and remote network administration, and supports either graphical or character-based administration. This is accomplished by providing a telnet client and server, MMC support, plus ActiveState ActivePerl.
Simplify Account Management. Windows Services for UNIX 2.0 provides the ability to consolidate UNIX accounts and Windows accounts in Windows 2000, in order to centralize and synchronize account management. This is accomplished by providing an NIS server and two-way password synchronization.
