I’ve recently setup a new PC with Window XP Pro.
Everything seems to operate properly with one exception. Without opening any applications, I get the “generic” Microsoft message telling me “Set configuration has encountered a problem and must close……Send Microsoft error etc. I just click “don’t send”. Nothing seems to close and it’s fine after that. I’ve tried disabling the startup items, running a virus check and a couple of adware programs without success. The problem still exists. It’s a minor inconvenience but I’d like to get rid of it.
