For many members on here you might know how to do this, but for the rest this might be a very handy piece of information.
Auto defragmentation in windows XP.
Defrag is faster on start up than when done normally.
Here is how:
You will need to go into the registry to do this.
Start > run, type in “regedit”.
go to “HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\
Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\
RunOnce”
Add a new string value “AutoDefrag”, add the following: “Defrag.exe c:/f”, (all without quotes) Now defrag should automatically run on start up.
