Set Up LDAP Directory Service in outlook

I would like to know if anybody know’s of a way to modify the LDAP directory service in outlook(2000) via a script.
I have pop3 clients all over the country and would like to point them to a new LDAP server which requires a username and password for login.
I need this script to add the new server name, change the port to 3268 (GC port)and add the username and password on the general tab of the properties of the LDAP directory Service.
Any ideas??
