I've got a newly built NT 4 Server with IIS 4 on it and running. I can connect from the internal network without problem but when trying from a remote location, such as my home, I get a 500 internal server error. I am sure it is something simple Iam missing but, as per usual, Microsoft's help files are less than helpful. Any thoughts or solutions would be gratefully received!!!

Check with your ISP. I had the same thing with a mail server. The router you are using may be locked down so that the port activity for a web server is not available outside the building.
Have you checked the permissions on the user account named IUSR_computername? Make sure that on the files that the web server is publishing, that this user is allowed to read. Also, is the server live on the internet? Proper dns registration, etc....? Good luck!
If you're asking for technical help, please be sure to include all your system info, including operating system, model number, and any other specifics related to the problem. Also please exercise your best judgment when posting in the forums--revealing personal information such as your e-mail address, telephone number, and address is not recommended.
