Setup Windows 2000 syslog server

by hector_mis . Updated 22 years, 5 months ago

Hi,
I want to setup a windows 2000 pro box as a syslog server for Cisco routers and switches. I’ve read that setting up a Linux box is easier and more secure, but the IT people around here are a little bit married with Microsoft products.

I’m looking for software (it has to be freeware) to do this task…

A question related to this: How much cpu % does the loggin task takes from the router? Our routers are not managing alot of traffic right now but i don’t know in the future how is this going to change?

Thanks in advance,
Regards
Hector Munoz
