sharing access database in workgroup

My customer has an access database on a win95 wrkstn in a workgroup. I can bring up the database with a win2k wrkstn in the same workgroup but, (this is courthouse using ms access to manage case dockets)when I try to access the docket on a certain date with the win2k wrkstn, the info is not there even when I copy the database directly to the win2k client. What would be the best way to share the database between the wrkstns? I am afraid to upgrade the win95 machine in case the database cannotbe read at all.
