Sharing Outlook Folders w/o Exchange

By sblades ·
How do I share Outlook 2000 or 2002 calendars and/or contacts without having an Exchange server? I know it can be done, but can't find the documentation. Don't want to just send invitations to meetings for calendar sharing... When I click on File, Share, it asks for the CD, which I do, but the sharing still doesn't work - says I need an Exchange Server - not an option at this site. Isn't there a way to send others/or share your calendar? Also, with contacts - don't want to just send .vcf's; want to actually share. If you can help, you're my heros! Thanks, Susan B.

In outlook 98 and 2000 you can use netfolders. However this feature is removed from outlook 2002. There are some other options though. Here is a link that can the supply the info that you need. http://www.slipstick.com/outlook/share.htm

Thanks Jeff, I looked up on that site and think I'm going to have to go with a third party software. Can't figure out why they took support for net folders out of 2002....guess they want to sell more exchange servers. For a five-person office, we haven't seen the need to it yet! Susan
