Sharing outlook in a network?

By trader919 ·
I haven't done much work with Exchange. My boss is asking if there is a way for everyone to access each other's email, calenders, tasks, etc. (We run on Windows 2000 Professional and Exchange).
So is there? I'm trying to search but not sure what I should be asking to get the answer i need.

That's one of the things Exchange does well

In an Exchange environment, you can easily allow sharing of individual folders - kind of a pain, but you can do it. Each person has to allow every other person some level of shared access. Check this link for some of the stuff(tm) you can do with Exchange.

Your exchange manual should give you all this information and more.

Other options

Exchange will also allow you to set up Public Folders separate from each user's personal mailbox. These folders can contain shared calendars, tasks, or any other type of Exchange data. By using Public Folders, you can share selected types of data but still keep others (such as e-mail) in each user's private mailbox.

Microsoft's web site is chock full of white papers and "How To's" on this. Almost any third-party Exchange book will also detail how to do what you want.

I'll have to get my hands on an Exchange book. I haven't even seen one around here.
