Is your router

rebooting?

I have seen similar issues if the router/modem was going out, or on a bad power circuit.

You can also try re-installing your wireless adapter. Also, does your wifi adapter do this on other wifi nets?

"N" type router interfering

by mjd420nova In reply to Signal from router to lap ...

I have run across this quite a bit lately. Some one of your neigbors has a "N" type router that is interfering with your routers signal. If you can locate the offending unit, place some grounded foil on the wall between the antennas on your router and the direction the other signal is coming from. If you don't know what direction it is coming from, place the foil on the oposite side of the antenna from the direction of your wireless card. Sometimes foil needs to be placed near the laptop/desktop to block the signal there. Good luck
