Since the meltdown there has been rather little activity around the water cooler - and the last 4 or 5 "discussions" have been misplaced questions. However ,there does seem to be a healthy crop of questions, so maybe TR is on the way back up.

Most of the questions are about how to recover from corrupt files and look specious lay like spam to me.

Just what I think.

but as Hal says, a lot of it is .pst repair spam and such.

I did start a café page for fun a bit ago and intend to try to keep it up better than I have in the past.

Here's to hoping it picks back up over time :)

The vast majority of the Q&A are "bait and hook" spams...

I flag them on-site, then deal with them via the system later, hehe!
I still have difficulties following "threads" in a discussion, as to whom is replying to whom, but hopefully things are getting better.

the bad ui that all "community/social media" sites have adopted keeps me from using them often.

can't find ANYTHING wityh the idiotic tag system, get results that have nothing to do with what I was looking for.

the 99% javash!t pages are just an example of INCOMPETENCE on the part of the site developers.

Of course no one comes here anymore.
Add to that they got rid of all the good stuff like geekend.
Tech republic is boring and inaccessible now.
