Slow Internet and Computer Issues

I’ve been experiencing frustrating issues with my computer and internet connection from Fast Broadband TV. My internet speed has been slow lately, and it’s taking forever to load websites and download files. Moreover, my computer keeps crashing randomly, which is really disrupting my workflow. I’ve tried restarting my router and modem, but the issue persists. I’m worried that it’s not just a coincidence, and there might be a problem with the service. The very first things to do:
1. Find somebody who has a well working laptop and let them try with your connection. If that’s fine you know the connection is OK and your computer has issues.
2. While that other laptop is around, do a speedtest (measures upload and download speed) on both your computer and that laptop. Compare with the speeds you pay for.
For both tests use a wired connection if possible, to exclude WiFi interference.

It’s quite uncommon that a slow or bad internet connection results in random crashes of a connected PC. It’s much more likely that there is some issue (hardware, software, settings, malware) with your computer.
