Slow Opening of Attachments

Win2k Lan, 30 desktops, spec = 1ghz Pentium, 128 Ram, 20gig HDD, etc, MS office 2000.

One (yes just one) desktop is very slow to open email attachments even tiny word.doc files. I think it’s a local issue and not network/server based? e.g. Outlook settings or conflict etc.

Slow even with no other apps open. Ram (128) seems OK, no other slowdowns reported. Word opens fine on it’s own.

Please can anyone offer suggestions?

Oh, and by the way it’s the CEO’s desktop (would be wouldn’t it) and no i dont want to come in early one morning and swap it with another machine! Thanks in advance, JohnM
