I have the following situation :
3 Servers =1 PDC small business server 4.5.
2 BDC,s NT 4.0.
I have firewall and 2 DNS one external & one Internal no DHCP service implemented.
I need to do the following :
1- upgrade the PDC to sbs 2000 and implement Active Directory into a New Server.
2- upgrade the other BDC to New server 2000.
3- implement DHCP.
4- implement Local DNS
5- Migrate all users and computers from old servers keeping Rights and permission as it is.
6-I still have some client running windows 95 and 98
7- I have AS/400 for the database application.
My Questions :
1- Can I use Active Directory Migration Tools inspait of that I still have to maintain Mixed Mode and I think that ADMT can be used in Native mode only? did any body tried it??
2- What is the best to use a new DNS local and keeping the other two DNS which build with the Firewall ?
3- will the SID be effected ? if yes what can be don to solve such a problem??
