Small utility for controlling access of programs to the network.

Can anyone advise a program for monitoring installed software that tries to access the internet? Firewall in interactive mode can do this too of course, or Task Manager too, I’m looking for something specialised, with logging or statistics etc.

You can also find other “Firewalls with logging” on Google but I haven’t had the need for such.

Windows 10 – I’ve mentioned Task Manager which for me is Rescource Monitor too… I was thinking something with the ability to back-check or automatically log accesses.

Logging is already in some OSes. Windows 10 Pro I know has it.

Link already supplied. It may be too much to ask of everyday users so they should explore other apps. Google “Firewalls with Logging.”

I do see a big problem in logging since so many apps and the OS accesses the Internet that your average user will be overwhelmed with log entries.
