Small yet confusing!

By bawnmore ·
If anyone can help with this small but irritating problem it would be highly appreciated. In MS Word, when a picture is inserted, everything goes well. However when I scroll down from the picture and back up it has disappeared. The picture is still there but it cannot be seen. Again, any help at all is appreciated.

MS Office graphics there but unseen

by rshack In reply to Any other ideas????

I've seen nothing on the Internet about this.

This is happening to a client of mine; the graphic is 'there' (in Excel). When I select it and move it, it can be seen. When I move to another app, then back, it is unseen. Word graphics are not appearing either.

My instinct is to perform all Windows Updates/patches first (especiall Office SP3), run a Scandisc/defrag and see what happens.

Next I may reinstall MS Office (2003) and see if that fixes it. It that does not, I will likely re-image the PC (or in your case you may wish to uninstall/reinstall MS Office).

rshack and bawnmore

Are either of you running the MS Virtual Desktop Manager Power Toy? I've seen similar behavior (disappearing graphics, apps going into 'Full Screen' mode) when an app is running in on a VDM desktop other than the first desktop.
