SNMP

I am trying to set up SNMP on my network to be able to monitor traffic, etc.
Where do I begin? Useful articles? Anything is appreciated.

You have defined a how without addressing a what. Assuming you know the what and that SNMP is the best choice, I read your question as "How do I begin to set up SNMP." For that, your best source is the technical documentation online or hard copy for each vendor's equipment.
