Software won’t Launch, event viewer error 1000, 1026

    by velvetlena94 ·

The program won’t launch. It briefly shows up in services tab in task manager before killing off a second later. I’ve tried several things and managed to pull up event viewer to see the issue. This is apparently the repeated error that has been causing the process to close before the app can fully open. I’m unsure what it means or how to fix this issue.

      What is it?

All that and no mention of the app’s commonly known name. Don’t leave that out.

But a google about some of the keywords do result in MALWARE reports which may explain why the software is failing. Maybe your antivirus or OS is protecting you.

Or this is Kennel Connection 7 and it’s not been installed correctly (No SQL). Read https://help.kennelconnection.com/portal/en/kb/articles/installing-or-reinstalling-kc-on-a-workstation

Kennel Connection is the software. I’ve correctly installed the software. However. I get to the part where I’m supposed to relaunch it to have the SQL server installed and thats where it fails. In the services tab in task manager I’ll see the process pop up for a brief second before it disappears.

I’ve contacted the company and they attempted their own reinstall remotely then said this “I just did my troubleshooting on your machine. The issue is that something on your computer is killing the KC7 process in task manager before it can fully start. My first recommendation would be to go to Start>Power>Restart and then try the installation again. If that does not work, we can try the installation on another machine if you have one available, or you may need a local PC technician to look at your machine to see what is blocking KC7 from running.”

I’ve allowed the program through firewall.
My computer was custom built so there’s no make or model.

        Here’s the specs from Windows
        Processor Intel(R) Core(TM) i5-10600K CPU @ 4.10GHz 4.10 GHz
        Installed RAM 16.0 GB
System type 64-bit operating system, x64-based processor

        Edition Windows 10 Pro
        Version 21H2
        Installed on ‎3/‎28/‎2021
        OS build 19044.1766
Experience Windows Feature Experience Pack 120.2212.4180.0

What type of computer (make/model)? What version of the operating system (Windows or iOS)? What is the program and what is the current version?

I suggest you speak with the company that sells that program/application or contact the author directly. Not enough information provided.

      https://support.cavallo.com/article/1902-presave-script-to-open-cash-drawer

I see that the crash is to the cash drawer system.

I wonder if that needed a driver.

-> Now that I’ve mulled it over, Kennel Connection needs to step up and track down what looks like a bug or incomplete install instructions.

To fix Event 1000 application errors for good
Run a System File Checker scan.
      Update Windows drivers.
      Clean Boot Windows.
      Scan the Registry.
      Reinstall Microsoft NET Framework.
      Reinstall the software.

      Regards,
      Peter
