Howdy,
We have a weird problem at work. Some of our computers on our network are unable to connect a specific website, while other are able to connect without a problem. Well, actually, that’s not entirely true. All the computers can get to the site, it just that once they get there and try to log on, it gives some computers an “unable to load page error”. All the computers have the same settings.
It’s not a permission issue as neither the user or administrator can connect using the “bad” computer.
It doesn’t seem to be a browser issue as the issue exists with both Firefox and IE7.
Windows Firewall is turned off on all computers.
We thought it was a Symantec Endpoint protection problem, but that firewall was turned off as well. We went so far as to uninstall enpoint from the entire network and re-installed our trusty SAV 10.2
What has worked for some computers (at least temporarily) was for me to clear out the browsing/history cache, reset all the security zones to default, clear the SSL state, and reboot. This worked for some computers for about a day, then it stopped working again.
I’ve even plugged in a brand new box and the same problem exists.
Any suggestion? I’m going nuts trying to figure this out…
Thanks!
