By bsualum ·
This laptop will start up and work for 20-30 minutes and then suddenly shut down. It may be overheating, however, it will not start for 3-4 days after each shut down.

Sounds more like a Capacitance Problem

So have you removed the Mains Adapter, Battery and pressed the On Switch to discharge the internal Capacitors and then reattaching the Battery and Mains Adapter again and seeing if it works now?

I followed the procedure

I followed your procedure, however, the laptop did not power up. Since it takes days before it can power up, is that why you think it may be a Capacitance problem?

Not sure why it's taking days

But it shouldn't be other than trying running it with a Cool Pad like one of these under it

I believe that you can get things like this on places like E Bay for around the $20.00 or Less and I don't sell any NB without one. They suck air away from the Air Intake of the NB and since it's moving faster than the air going into the NB the big bits of Dust and other air borne junk get sucked away for the NB which stoops the internal Air Ways and Heatsink getting clogged.

If that doesn't do anything your only other alternative is to dismantle the system and go looking for the problem.
