sound and printer problem

I have sb pci128 Ensoniq1371 sound card, and it's been recognized by the linux but it doesn't work under X-win

It also doesn't recognize Laser Jet 5L on the paralel port...lp0, lp1

please help me...

use sndconfig to configure the sound card. What window manager do you use? You need to enable sound in your window manager also. Check the files in /etc/sysconfig/ that are related to sound and see if they are correct. Also check /etc/conf.modules
For laserjet use printtool use add, , and if not detected, add input filter HP laserjet 4 (works for 4,5,6 LaserJets)

If you go to www.freebsd.org/ports you will
find a program called "apsfilter" that will
help you install your printer.So far that
seems to be the best that I have found

I don't think the sb128pci is really supported, from what I've heard it is typical that it id's the card but then it will not work.
