sound resrtoration on Brave browser

I presume there is a toggle somewhere that got switched off, but I can not find a place to restore (or set) the sound on the Brave browser. It worked fine for a couple of years. All other browsers function correctly, so it is not my machine. They have no Q&A link, just frequently asked questions. Help! it is my favorite browser…
