SPAM

What is the best way to keep SPAM out of my in-box. I have 3 internet email accounts. They are starting to get a lot of spam. Especially my Hotmail account and my sbcglobal.net account. My coworkers have a big problem with spam mail to their Outlook email account inbox. (>1000 over the weekend)
Can anyone recommend a really good spam blocker? Thx
