Spelling checker in Office 2003

I have Office 2003 installed on my computer.

When i type an email in Outlook the spell checker works, but when i type a document in Word it does not.

I can type any word that does not make any sense and the spellchecker does not correct it. Even when i ask the speelchecker to check the document for spelling errors it says that the document does not have any spelling errors.

How can i fix this problem.

Is there another dictionary i can import into Word
