I’ve been a fan of Steve Gibson since the early ninties and used Spinrite forever. I stopped using it several years back when I started using NTFS but the latest version states that it will work on NTFS.
I, however, am using a matching pair of Hitachi Deskstars, 80G-8M-7500 drives in a RAID-0 array with Win XP-SP2 on a homebuilt machine with 2G’s of RAM. I would like to know if anyone else has tried using Spinrite on such a system. It’s the RAID-0 part that bothers me because Spinrite wants to run DOS from a floppy and I don’t know if it will be able to recognize the array and/or maintain its integrity.
