spooler subservice hell!

Hi all, please rescue me…

I’m running an HP pavillion latop with xp2 sp2, it is part of a wireless home network. I have a desktop on the netowrk which has a lexmark z615 printer installed. The printer is set up to share and I can see it in my netowrk places. i have clicked on connect and installed all the drivers on the laptop.

I get the spooler subservice app window, with microsoft’s apoplogies for it closing.

i’ve done the microsoft registry fix, no success, i’ve deleted all the .shd and.spl files from the /spool/printers, stoppped and started the spooler and the lexbce spooler. i’ve downloaded and run the brother software recommended on the board

my next fix may involve something i regret

please god help.
