SQL Server 7 Sprocs

By bratchev ·
Hi,

I'm trying to figure out the best way to create a placeholder for a field. What I need is a pseudo field, created in a sproc, with no records in it (just the title and NULL rows) put there only to hold the place in the order of fields and nothing else.

Any suggestions?

Regards.

Boris

Sorry for being dense, but could you provide alittle more info on how you're using such a field?

Are you creating tables on the fly, and need a dummy field for something? Are you using this during some kind of update?

Any extra info will help.
