sql server2000 starts slowly

when restarting my windows 2000 server after log on it takes about 4 minutes for my Sqlserver 2000 DB to fully start. It used to take less than a minute. It is only about 300 Mb . any ideas?

restarting your sql server should be a rear occurance, don't restart it. unless you aplly updates. then how often is it going to get reset.
back up process that run at start up can slow it down, system restore can slow it down, poor network conectivity and slow it dwon, lots of services running can slow it down, authentication and verification can slow it down. not enoug memory on the server can slow it down, virus spyware and adware can slow it down, windows update can slow it down.
