Standard VPN solutions and common scenarios

By Jellimonsta ·
Hi all,
I was hoping that some of you wise ones would be so kind as to input a little on what you have done to standardize your VPN environment and remote corporate access. We are a Windows shop (sorry Oz) with Cisco Pix and VPN concentrator. We seem to constantly have issues with home users wanting to use VPN to access the corporate network from home and then having conflictions with existing system specs and programs.
I was not initially involved in the planning and implementation of the WAN solution so there were no policies put in place.
As usual I have been told to 'make it work!' and pick up the pieces. What are some common stipulations corporations are placing on VPN access? Are you of the mindset that home PC's with multiple family member logons should not be able to join a corporate network through VPN?
T.I.A y'all!
