START MENU DELAY

By bjammin7 ·
Windows 98 question:

Does anyone remember how to adjust the typical time delay experienced when browsing through Windows Start menu? The time delay in real time is approximately 1/3 to 1/2 sec for each folder by default. I seem to recall that it's adjustable via a registry edit, but cannot find it anywhere in RegEdit or on Microsoft's Tech site.

Thank you in advance,

Assuming you are familiar with regedit, here's what to add:

Key: [HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Control Panel\Desktop]
Value Name: MenuShowDelay
Data Type: REG_SZ (String Value)
Value Data: 0-999 (milliseconds)

Found at:

Download and install Microsoft's Tweak UI available at www.download.com. Open the Tweak UI icon from the control panel and select the Mouse tab. Adjsut the Menu speed slider.
