Starting Perfomon as a service

By alanb ·
I ave heard that permon can be started as a service, and run to log specific time intervals of activity.

Could someone give me a brief overview of how this is accomplished.

Thanks in advance,
Alan

Perfmon can run as a service but it eats up too much memory for long term monitoring...Some better utilities is datalog.exe and monitor.exe...they are great for long term, short term and remote monitoring without giving you any headaches...You will definately benefit from them..You can find them in the NTreskit or on microsofts kb articles...If you need any help let me know and I will see what I can do..
