I think that I have corrupted registry entries here are the symptoms:
A week ago I noticed one app (Nextstart) not loading anymore at startup but didn’t do anything about it for a while then, I noticed my system being quite unstable which isn’t the norm for mine.
At some point I Ctrl-Alt-Del to have a look what was lurking, just then I noticed that Systray wasn’t there.
At about the same time my right button wouldn’t work untill I went in the Control Panel to open the mouse app ( settings hadn’t change) and then again I noticed that Point32 wasn’t in the scrolling list after Ctrl-alt-del.
So I went in MSconfig\Startup and to my surprise these items are absent so that I can’t thick them back in???
I sort of fixed the problemby putting shortcuts to these two .exe in my startup folder and this gets those items back in the msconfig list but if I then take the shortcuts out the list is updated and I loose them again.
Where should I look for a permanent fix to this Win.ini Sys.ini registry key (And what needs to be there)?
