Stop clicking noise in IE

By bowieb ·
How do I stop the annoying clicking noise in IE whenever I click on a link? I don't want to mute my sound just for this, but I don't want to hear this constant clicking while I'm browsing the net.

Go to the control panel and click on sounds...under heading "windows explorer" you'll see a sound for "start navigation". To remove the clicking sound: where it says Name select "none".

Excellent! I thought it would be under sounds, but I couldn't figure out where it was. "Start Navigation" isn't exactly intuitive. :)

Thanks!
