When trying to install Win2K for the first time on a new computer, I get this stop error…0x0000007b. I’ve tried to use a HD that I knew worked, and I still get the error. I looked on the MS web page, the solution to reslove this issue was to remove any new added hardware, but all the hardware in my computer is new. I also found out that Win2K also has a problem installing on a HD using DMA 4. It was using DMA 5, so I changed it to DMA 4 and tried again, but I did not get anywhere. I knowmy new hard drive works because I put it in a computer at work and it was recognized by the OS. Also, I checked the HCL list, and the hard drive I have is on there. There are also BIOS updates for the ASUS motherboard I have, but I cannot load them without some sort of OS. I somewha confused right now, so any help will be appreciated. Thank you.
