Stop falling for Facebook Myths!

By tcavadias Staff ·
Once again my Facebook news feed is filled with two old Facebook Myths: Posting copyright notices and being charged 5.99 to keep your profile private.

Here is a Snippet of each one:

Facebook Copyright Notice

In response to the new Facebook guidelines I hereby declare that my copyright is attached to all of my personal details, illustrations, comics, paintings, crafts, professional photos and videos, etc. yadda yadda yadda yadda

Facebook cost to keep your profile private

Now it's official! It has been published in the media. Facebook has just released the entry price: $5.99 to keep the subscription of your status to be set to "private."

Please stop sharing these in your news feed. Both are Myth/'s. Both do nothing more than stir up fear and clutter up ones news feed.

Before you share such things, please take a few minutes to research the item. Did you see it on a legit news source (such as your own local channels or in your own local paper or news channel?) The Internet is full of fake junk news sites.

If you are unsure and have researched you can also ask us here, or you can check sites like which does the fact checking for you.

If we all do our part and research first, these Scare tactics will die away and we can all get back to actual legit reading.
