Stop Spamming

By trurod70 ·
I still have people routing mail off of my email server. I have downloaded articles from Microsoft site and have followed them but routing is still occurring. Does anyone know how to stop it? Maybe I missed something? I have Exchange 5.5, sp3.

Key point: In Exchange Admin; Config, connections, internet mail service, do the following:

Go to the routing tab; [Routing Restrictions] button, {check} "Hosts & Clients with these IP Addresses"

and as long as you have no users who are allowed to route mail, leave the addresses blank.[OK][OK][OK], then go into Control Panel, Services & stop and restart the Internet Mail connector.

The KB articles go into more detail, but this is the gist of the fix.

Its turns out, through my own investigation, that my email server is secure. The spammers are just using my domain name illegally.
