strange copy after saving Excel file

Hi all: I have been noticing that there are multiple copies of a plain file type after users modify an Excel file. There’s no file type name and the size of the file is almost identical to the Excel file. It doesn’t create a problem fo rmy users, but it’s annoying to see so many copies taking room on the server. Could anyone offer any help please? Thank you.
